I know 30 webmasters forum.
29 was build with xenforo
1 with IPS

The IPS was the first and old age among all since 2018 to 2025 with current 200k+ members

The rest with xenforo was site from 2020/2021 to 2025
About 7 of this site have same large audience as the one build on IPS.

All have alot of active users but the one build with IPS doesn't get much engagement like user replying to file or thankful for admin for uploading meanwhile the other in xenforo have great engagement, even if user don't share topic, he will comment on file.
And those xenforo forum are not seen to be forcing members to comment before downloading.

My question is, what's the hidden truth, do user find xenforo more better than IPS forum?

Or xenforo has better seo structure more than IPS?

I wanna build my own forum but IPS meet my requirements, xenforo doesn't but it can be possible with custom coding.

What's the reason between this from my experience?

I used both (y)

Like wp too, with many site creations. My opinion

When comparing XenForo and IPS, the "better" platform largely depends on your specific needs and preferences.

Both are popular forum software solutions with their unique features, strengths, and weaknesses.

Here’s a breakdown of each to help you decide:

XenForo
Strengths:

1.User-Friendly Interface:

XenForo is known for its clean and modern interface, which is intuitive for users and administrators alike.

2.Performance:

It features a lightweight structure that can lead to faster load times and better performance, especially for larger communities.

3.Community Engagement:

XenForo has robust tools for community engagement, including reaction systems and member statistics, which enhance user interaction.

4.Customization:

The platform allows for extensive customization with themes and add-ons, making it easy to tailor the appearance and functionality.

5.SEO-Friendly:

It’s built with SEO best practices in mind, which can help improve visibility in search engines.

Weaknesses:

1.Cost: (nulled is your best friend :))

While not prohibitively expensive, XenForo does require a license fee, which can be a consideration for smaller communities.

2.Add-on Marketplace:

Although it has a decent selection, its marketplace may not be as extensive as that of IPS.

IPS (Invision Community)

Strengths:

1.All-in-One Solution:

IPS offers a comprehensive suite of tools beyond just forums, including content management, e-commerce, and social media features, making it a more versatile platform.

2.ntegrated Features:

You get a unified experience with features like blogs, galleries, and other applications, all integrated into one platform.

3.Customization Options:

IPS also offers robust customization through various applications and themes, allowing for significant flexibility.

Weaknesses:

1.Complexity:

The extensive feature set can make IPS more complex to navigate for new users or administrators, which might be overwhelming for smaller communities.

2.Performance:

Depending on how extensively it’s customized and the number of features used, IPS might have performance issues compared to more streamlined platforms.

Conclusion

Choose XenForo if you prioritize a straightforward, lightweight forum focused on community interaction and performance.

Choose IPS if you require a more comprehensive platform with a wider array of integrated tools and features in addition to forums.

Ultimately, the better option will depend on the specific requirements of your community, your budget, and your familiarity with each platform.

Consider trying out demos or reading reviews from users in similar situations to gain further insights.

Invision Community, like PHPbb 3, is a pretty risky system. If you install a bad plugin, it's over! I personally don't like the menu of this system. But it does have a leaderboard, a blog that is separate from the discussions, not like the portal Xenforo addons. It has almost everything you need to get started, but it's very risky with it. Still, if you want, you can give it a chance and try it (especially if you have extra money because it's quite expensive).

Choose IPS if you require a more comprehensive platform with a wider array of integrated tools and features in addition to forums.
You're making me test this system again :D And I'm having a hard time with it :D Because if I like it...... 500$ minimum........ :D

Xenforo still one of the best, for many reasons I find Xenforo more powerful, just like XenVn and Kreator.ng

If you know what you are doing, use Xenforo and hire XenVn for custom add-ons
