Sounds like you need to use the pro core addon with this resource. Thats what I use and have no problems. Never tried it with the normal core addon so I couldn't tell you if thats indeed the reason or not.

Have you tried putting these in config.php file and set them to false? $config['enableListeners'] = true; $config['enableTemplateModificationCallbacks'] = true; This should be able to get you back into AdminPC doing so.
