I did but it effects Username Custom CSS For example a user has two usergroup A and B B has display priorities greater than A and I don’t want to show any icons for B usergroup. So I apply icons to A usergroup and it doesn’t work. Hope that makes sense

It's not about how it looks it's about how it works. Previously the functionality was similar to this addon. You can use a simple dummy usergroup to show the badge without affecting the custom Username CSS of any other usergroup that is assigned to the user.

I would say this AM/PM option is not so useful as you still count the time 24 hours. If you make 12 hours then it will make sense otherwise it's not that useful.
