Does anyone know why Google Search might have trouble fetching sitemap.php?
Sitemap.xml works fine, but when Google Search tries to fetch sitemap.php I get the message "Could not read sitemap"

It is there when I go to my_page/sitemap.php

In xenforo.
domain.com/sitemap.php = domain.com/sitemap.xml
It is best to choose sitemap.xml. Why do you need to add 2 sitemap URLs, it is not necessary.

I actually have no answer as to why I need two, it's probably just an old habit.

Now all of a sudden sitemap.php works, I was about to remove it from Google Search.
