A spam bot is a computer program that helps to spread spam across the Internet. Spam bots often scrape contact information, create fake user accounts, or operate stolen social media accounts.
Spam bots can create fake accounts on forums, social media platforms, messaging apps, or email hosting providers. Sometimes they'll try to disguise their activities as coming from a real user. Since creating a user account often only involves filling out a few fields (name, email address, etc.), attackers will program spam bots to fill out these forms automatically - a relatively simple task for a skilled programmer. Some platforms offer CAPTCHAs or similar challenges to prevent bots from creating accounts, but these defenses are not foolproof.
Features:
+ Force captcha confirmation when user login failed more than 2 times (1)
+ Fight spam bots with automatic login and registration (2)
+ Admin must login to the forum first to login to the admin page (3)
(1) To enable Captcha confirmation you need to enable CAPTCHA for guests feature:
Setup -> Options -> User registration -> Enable CAPTCHA for guests
(2) When you disable the CAPTCHA for guests feature, the improved login and registration security still works against spam bots.
(3) This feature helps to prevent admin page login searches. You must use an admin account to be logged into the forum first.
(The login account to the Forum and the Admin Page must be the same and must be an admin account)
This is a feature of XenVn add-on, see details here:
